Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

I think after Second Stage comes the final stage I.e submission to the minister. So you should stay hopeful for the next ceremony.
Plus if a letter says that the application has been moved to the second stage, it means it s on second stage I.e character checks etc.

The response we had was via email. We are not banking on a result happening anytime soon, probably a result of some sort within this year, the whole process is a joke..
An email can be used as a proof in the court.. Just an FYI.

Re: Proofs of ‘each’ year of residence claimed

Hi,
When I submitted my application, I also submitted 3 proofs of my current address, just to be on the safe side, even though I had enclosed 3 proofs for the same year, but for a different address. I think being careful is the only way to ensure that you get yours second stage letter ASAP.

Yeah, I think they haven't started sending out approval letters yet, as people would have started giving updates on the forum re same. So don't worry.

2018 :)
Hopefully, you ll be able to attend this ceremony. So keep praying. They have clearly said that they will send the invites 4 to 5 weeks before the ceremony and the ceremony is on the 26th of next month. So you can hear from them hopefully soon.

Re: Irish Citizenship application (Form 8) - How did you organise your application?

Some more analysis on processing times, based on ~60 timeline posts to this site. Horizontal axis is the date the application was sent in. Left hand axis is days to acknowledge. Right hand axis is days to 2nd letter and days to approval. What I get from it is: processing times were high for applica...

I think you should do as they have suggested.
Also, did you not have any letters from Inis to cover the gap?

P.S. I think there is a reason why they ask for your email address on Form 8. Maybe not everyone gets the email confirmation, but some people definitely do.

Re: Meaning of letter

Still stage 2, which can take ages or just a couple of months. Second stage letter has the same wordings. 1st stage is simply the initial processing of the application and issuing an application number etc.

Looks like Stage 2 - Some times Garda doesn't provide information regarding offences etc and that's why there is a delay (what a nightmare).

They only reviewed her case, because her news was published by the press. I think they got afraid of the press in her case.
