She was granted ILR in 2013.. Don't worry just disclose this info to HO, not a big deal as long as you haven't travelled on it. If they ask, just say was ignorant of the rules, and nobody was there to provide the guidance, that's it. Just want to ask did she got naturalisarion application approved ...

The alternative, in case you have not used the home country passport would be to consult an immigration advisor and contact HO/SSHD to provide them the passport and explain your mistake and reasons you still require protection, which is likely to trigger a status review for your case. Omg people. Received a letter from HO - saying "we cannot process your application within 6 months and extend it till the end of November 2018" Since February they could not do it!!!
