This is clearly not an automatic thing. They will likely say no and you will have to push. But it seems pretty clear cut, and worth using as one part of any application or any appeal.

rules that regardless of facts of any case; that the regulation 3.2 is ok and does not violate european law or that it is justifible, ....... I'm not entirely sure what the situation is with partnerships, but I think you need to be together 4 years to be permitted to remain in Ireland
Irish do not recognise unmarried partners, therefore no chance of getting appropriate visa using that route!

y dont u try for a visit visa ( or Tourist Visa ) for ur husband & come back together aftr marriage. After tht whn the Spouse visa is approved change to Spouse visa. Its only an idea...I dnt know the effects of tht...research on tht... thnks.. wht is wrong wth visit visa....if u find any intrusion....

In an interview with The Irish Times, Brian Lenihan said the Immigration and Residence Bill, brought forward by his predecessor, had been withdrawn for "legal fine tuning" and would be reintroduced in January.

I personally did not submit medical insurance. Did you tell them to mind their own business, or just leave the question blank? Just left it blank. My wife and I both work so I did not think it was needed. Mind you, my wife had a twice stamp 4 previously(one year at the time),before all this fiasco ...

Yes Directive,but in this instance its Family of 3 and that would amass to 15-20K a year!But as you said there is no set rule how much one should have in the bank so this figure I mentioned is fictional.
I think decisions are made on case to case basis.
