ILR for wife and husband

Hi i had posted this case in the other thread...still it is not clear..also sent an email to HO..no reply yet.. so i am posting this again here in the family members visa section... any one had similar situation or any knowledge about this type of case... if a married couple have two different visas...

if i were you , i would have waited or asked for the update....since you sent the fax to treat this as urgent , it looks bit strange. incase the employer who had sponsored the permit has sent the fax to the high commissioner, that is different case...

please consider this case:


husband is on hsmp , getting ready for ILR after completing 5 years and wife is in workpermit not as a dependent as she has her own visa at that point ..

can she be included in the same app as a dependant while husband applies?

very sad to hear that. there are some stupid people out there , advertising themselves as "solicitor" or immigration specialist"... i have seen 1 or 2 on gumtree websites....they dont have a clue..what they are talking.... anyway...you cant file a case aginst them becuase of your immigration issue.....

I thought, you could apply when you reach 4 years + 10 months.
I have seen in the past few years ago,when it was 4 yr period for ILR, that people had applied 3yr + 10 months.

Correct me if i am wrong here.

The HO might have given you a new wp, which means your 5 year clock would have been reset. sorry i am not too expert in this.

did your old employer who did they issue the WP for inform the HO that your employment ended ? you had mentioned problem. well, i have the same issue , when i left the employer1, i got job in 28 days but when my employer2 applied for change of employment, they said , it was more than 28 days and ask...
