If your father was born in the UK, then you are probably British by descent. Just apply for a British passport.

I don't think that there is a limit to the number of family members or extended family members. However, there may be other considerations, such that they may be maintained and accommodated without recourse to public funds.

As the children were born in the UK, they are entitled to register for British citizenship 1(3) while they are under 18.
