Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

Also forgot to add, can we also do the life in the uk test now and get it over with, or do we need to wait until we apply for citizenship?

Thanks

Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

OK thanks. Can someone please confirm if I'm able to book the B1 life skills exam for my partner for this FLR, and if its POSSIBLE to use this (even when expired) for when applying for ILR and citizenship? Just so she doesn't have to sit another exam when we're applying for indefinite leave and citi...

Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

Can anyone advise on BRP receive above please? Would I get in within few days of being approved? Also had another question. I currently live with parents but say if I move out in next few months (rent). Would it matter if I just use my current parents address for where we live and cohabit (bills, ad...

I kinda am, because we need set off for India around 11th April. Would we also get the BRP card quickly and straight away if approved? Or would we have to wait for that, as she would need to travel with that?

Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

Sorry?

So if is approved before I've hit 30 months, then wouldn't that be shortfall.?

Would it be better to just submit super priority once I've reached 30 months and submit next day?

Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

OK thanks.

If I do apply 28 days before reaching 30 months residence so around 5th March 2023, on a super or priority service and it arrives quickly, will it be an issue Or will it be effective from after your current brp expiry date?

Thanks

Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

I don't quite understand the bit where you say about getting time to play with . Is it best to apply on 5th March 2023 (28 days before 2nd April) or after 3rd April? Do you get your money back if they don't process within given timeframe? If you don't, is there any point paying the extra for super p...

Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

Hmm thanks. We need to urgently travel around mid April 2023 and wanted it sorted and granted before then so I was thinking of options. The expiry date on the brp is May 25 2023 What would you recommend? Should I just apply 1 day after reaching 30 months so beginning of April, via a priority service...

Re: Spouse Visa UK - Extension

Hmm thank you. In that case, just to confirm and so I'm clear : 1) If she entered UK on 02 Oct 2020, 30 months counted from then would be 02 April 2023 right? 2) When's the earliest she can apply? - 28 days before 02 April 2023,so that's 05 March 2023,is that correct OR - does she have to complete f...

Re: What is required to travel to Europe?

OK thanks a lot, Looking at travelling to Dubai, she would need a visa. But not sure where to apply for this as there's so many websites. We're planning to travel on a different airline so the Emirates online visa service would not be applicable. Does anybody know where the official website is to ap...

Hello guys, Looking to holiday in Europe somewhere ie. Paris, Spain, Italy etc and was wondering whether my partner can travel to Europe on a UK spouse visa? Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

Says on this document. It also says that non-Eea nationals would be exempt from the 3 year requirement if we're a husband/wife. Does this include British citizens? Theres also a table on p86 https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apprenticeship-funding-rules https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/...

Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

Thanks. Hi guys I had a question about apprenticeships. Some employers are asking that partner needs to be a resident in the UK for 3 years before being eligible for an apprenticeship and some employers don't ask as long as you've got right to work. The guide on gov says that non-eea are not eligibl...

Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

Also, if she gets her new kenyan passport with new name, does it invalidate the old passport or can she still continue to use it for Id purposes, as long as it has not expired?

Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

Hi guys. I want to change my wife's name as she is taking my name. Is it easier to do this once we're approaching visa extension after 2.5 years so she gets her new brp with her new name on, or is it better to do it now and replace the current card with old name? Kenya high commission is so long, be...

What if she's travelling to her home country where she has Nationality and is a citizen? I. E. The country where the UK spouse visa application was offered/made from. In this case Kenya?

Just the brp and her Kenya passport is fine right?

Thanks

Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

Hello guys. Thanks for your responses.

I had a quick question about travelling in the future. Since she is on an initial spouse visa, would she only need to carry her BRP card and passport to travel internationally?

She wouldn't need anything else would she?

Kind regards
Shyam

Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

Hi guys. Just a quick question.

When you open joint bank account will I need to transfer all my direct debits to it, I.e. Salary pay in to that account?

Or do they just need to see that you've got a joint account and her salary is going into it only.

Kind regards

Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

OK thanks, sorry forgot to say that, if not entitled a free extension on 90 day visa, would they accept it if she extends and pays, or would they question why she couldn't travel even in 3 months?
