i think they do that anyway and you can apply for citexenship when you qualify for 5 years total residency - not 1 year from the date of ILR

i don't see any point paying anything if only it takes is to buy a passport cover and carry 2 passports

if you were paid in the UK and paying tax and NI then you can apply in March.

in any case i'd call a PEO and asked. they were very helfull with getting my date correct so i don't apply before 28 days before arrival (not visa issue date)
