Seems a very exclusive club!

That said, there is already an existing thread for tracking progress and it is much better for you to post your details in it instead http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=80616

1) My understanding is their home address 2) Its not asked, but check with UKBA that they'll accept just a manager of a company as even though they are on the list many have been told they wont be accepted unless they qualify by another means (eg professional qualifications or memberships) 3) I pers...

The easiest thing would be to phone them, they take a while to get through to but never had that much of a problem personally - obviously try to avoid the peaks around monday morning, every lunchtime, just before closing etc. Even if you do speak to them I would back it up with a letter and send it ...

Re: Irish Citizen applying for British Naturalisation

Strangely n all my travels , the only place I found an Irish passport to be a hindrance was, of all places, Bolivia. My then purely Irish girlfriend required a special visa whereas I didn't Was that for tourism? The Bolivian embassy site says UK and Ireland are the same. Having both passports mysel...

UK NHS provision is not sufficient, you either need private health insurance for the complete time you were not working or to be from one of the countries where your home health cover extends sufficiently to you living in other countries. For the latter I dont know which countries this applies to bu...

First thing to check is if the council has received any certificates since the date you received yours (plus how frequently they receive them generally - we used a central London office so they get 30-70 every week but I imagine some provincial areas may not get them every week as standard). If they...

Unless married to a BC then you are required to have been free from immigration for 1 year. Under the EEA route you get PR after 5 years and so you can apply for BC after 6 years. The one consideration is that as you are a student then you are required to have evidence of having comprehensive medica...

There is always the option of applying for special dispensation but ultimately its a poor gamble and I suspect you are more than likely to find you've wasted your application fee.

Is there an option to not work on this project, it may be your best option if you are keen to get your BC

You are legally required to be in the country at the point that the Home Office receive your application. To ensure this happens the NCS service normally say you shouldnt travel for 5 days after submitting your papers just to be sure that if there is a delay in the post etc that you are still here w...

1) As long as they are comfortable saying they have known you personally for more than 3 years (bearing in mind they face prison if it is found they falsely signed the form) then it shouldnt be an issue that the first period didnt happen to be in person 2) You normally need to provide evidence that ...

You can always ask the UKBA to be sure, unless he is a member of the BCS or is a teacher at the uni then I would argue not but these things are always a little random and a lot will ultimately depend what they write on the form.

The effect of being married to a BC is that you could have applied for your own BC as soon as you were eligible for PR rather than the normal requirement of waiting for 1 year after that.

Just complete the document including the EEA section if you havent got a PR stamp/sticker in your passport.

I realise the HO is generally just recognising rights rather than conferring them in EEA cases but my knowledge is not extensive and I have read of some issues when a person has dual nationality about being able to claim their EEA rights rather than British when you are a BC + say Irish

We had similar issues with traveling on a non-EEA passport with a PR stamp (similar to ILR) post getting BC but to complicate matters further for us is that the passport is in maiden name and BC is in married name (though mentions maiden name). I was advised on here and by the UKBA call centre that ...
