Re: Applied through NCS & received approval letter

Just to update, My wife received her Invitation letter today asking her to contact the council ! I think in her case she has broken the popular myth that anyone applying through NCS only receives one letter (i.e approval + Invitation letter combined) Hi vinitmanu, Did the invitation letter come fro...

Re: Approval Letter and Nationality Checking Service

I understood that UKBA issues the approval letter first. Then within two weeks they send your naturalisation certificate to your local council and at the same time they send you another letter to invite you for the ceremony. Having said that, I only received the latter. Also, reading previous threa...

Re: Approval Letter and Nationality Checking Service

The approval letter was issued last week. But she can't contact the council until she receives the invitation letter. The letter was sent by UKBA and not the council. Did you apply through NCS? & did you receive the approval letter as well? Thanks I applied though NCS but I didn't receive anything ...

Re: Approval Letter and Nationality Checking Service

My wife applied through NCS last month and received an approval letter last week. The letter stated that her application has been successful and she now has to wait for the invitation letter. I understood that if you applied through NCS you only get an invitation letter and not the approval letter?...

Approval Letter and Nationality Checking Service

Hi all, Just a quick one to those who received their approval letter recently and applied through a Nationality Checking Service. Does the home office send the letter directly to your home address? or is the letter sent to the council where the application was made, then the council forward the lett...

Hi I-L-R-2011, From my experience, the home office do not back date any successful applications, your stamp will be bear the date of when it was issued. Your status will continue to remain legal as long as you apply prior to the expiry of your existing leave. Please see below extract from the UK Bor...

Re: 10 Years Based ILR for Main applicant but what for depen

Hi, What visa would he apply for his spouse and children? Is it a settlement visa or Indefinate visa? Hi tonypetty, Settlement and Indefinite visas are the same thing, if your friend has already been grated his ILR, then his wife and children can apply for settlements as his dependants too, they do...

Hi ilr_hsmp2007, I appreciate your concern but you are getting your wires crossed here, the extract you included in your post in concerned with: children born in the United Kingdom to parents who are not settled in the United Kingdom and are not British citizens Which means that if ilr_hsmp2007 trie...

Hi legit2011, I am afraid you got the wrong end of the stick here, what the government was proposing to the House of Lords is to lower the drink-drive limit to 50mg/100ml from 80mg/100ml. Please see below extract from the Parliament site : Perhaps 50 of these deaths could be saved each year if the l...

Re: UK Born Child - ILR Required?

You need to include him in ILR, as he is already Tier1 dependent. Hi Tier1_ILR_Applicant, Please ignore this advice as it is not correct. Please see below extracts from the British Citizenship site : Section 1(3) applications - children born in the United Kingdom to parents who are now settled in t...

Whether it goes to court or not its different matter but my question is while it’s pending (because i dont think it will be resolved by mid January) do i have to mention it. It’s neither criminal nor civil until it’s decided or goes to the court. For your case, you do not need to mention it while i...
