Re: work related query on Tier-2 general dependent visa...

Tier 2 General Main application (i.e. your partner) cannot be self employed. The policy guidance does not say you, as a dependent, cannot be self employed. See 'Conditions of Stay' on page 8 of the policy guidance below. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/47721...

Re: Haven't yet received the P60 for the last financial year

But as already stated, the best person to ask is the payroll dept where you previously worked. P60 is issued by the employer with whom one is employed on 05-Apr, not a previous employer. If someone worked since august of the last working year. can he get his P60 OR NOT IS THERE ANY SPEIAL CONDITION...

If your 'friend' has an address of the department or caseworker, he should write to them urgently as these should not have been retained if they are original degree certificates.

Re: FLR(M) refusal -- can I reapply?

1. You cannot appeal and submit a new application at the same time. Even if you went for administrative review, the decision was correct as you failed to provide the bank statements which are clearly mentioned that have to be submitted, so there was no 'error by HO'. 2. Not sure. Suggest reapply wit...

Re: FLR(M) refusal -- can I reapply?

1. You have to pay a new surcharge and get a new IHS reference number.

2. You can request your documents back. Or send your new application with a covering note that they have x y and z already. Do you still have a current valid visa?

Re: FLR(M) refusal -- can I reapply?

You can reapply at any time and submit all the documents required. Appeals are taking very long at the moment.

Yes, you will have to pay all the fees again. Apply before 18 March as the fees go up on this date by 25 %.

Re: Child settlement Visa Refusal

What dependent visa is your husband on? There are different categories. Is he a PBS Dependent? What was your visa status BEFORE you got ILR and on what basis did you get ILR? In January you posted that your husband was going to apply for ILR 'in 3 weeks time'. Has he done this yet or not? Edit : I d...

Re: Child settlement Visa Refusal

You apply for the same visa category that your spouse is on. If your spouse is on PBS Dependent, then that is what you apply for the child. If your spouse is on spouse settlement visa (VAF4A), then that is what the child should apply for.

Re: Return BRP after Citizenship Ceremony within 5 days

In addition to what casa said, HMPO does not deal with the return of BRPs. This is an HO issue and BRPs should be sent to HO and not to HMPO.

Re: Employee Status

A person with Indefinite Leave to Remain can only use their own country/nationality passport. There is no other passport that they can use as they are not British. However, they should have a BRP card stating ILR (which they need to apply for if seeking employment) per the new requirement for people...

Just apply for an Indian passport once you have the birth certificate. No UK visa required if leaving the UK to move back to your home country.

Re: Naturalisation - 12 month period - Perm.Resid. - EU nati

It is 12 months from the date you 'acquired automatic PR as a qualified person'. PR Card is just confirmation. So if you acquired PR in say February 2015, you can apply for citizenship exactly 12 months after that, unless married to a British Citizen, then you don't have to wait 12 months.

Re: PBS dependant stamping in immigrations

If you have a valid Tier 2 ICT dependent visa in your passport, they have given you the incorrect stamp. The stamp you have received is for visitors. You need to contact HO or ECO at the airport you arrived at so that this can be rectified.

What is your nationality?

Re: Applicability of New ILR Fee

That would be correct. It has always worked like this in the past. Appointments booked and paid for before the fee increase are processed based on the old fees. Appointments booked and paid for on or after the date of the fee increase, pay the new fees.

Re: Visa fee increase from 18th March 2016 not April 6th

HO can increase fees earlier if they wish to, it is their prerogative. If it is their prerogative to increase whenever they wish, then there is nothing sneaky about the whole show. Sneaky in the sense that it has usually only been w.e.f. 6th April and all are used to it being as such. But of course...
