Re: Advice/Suggestions on Family Visa on the basis of Private Life

If you are a gifted musician, why not try for the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa instead.

https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-exceptional-talent/overview

FLR(FP) is likely to fail to be honest and is not the easiest visa to get.

Re: 5 years married and 3 years living in Northern Ireland

Your previous post (an only other post) in 2014 indicates your wife is in the UK on a spouse visa under the UK immigration rules. Is this correct, an initial 33 month visa??? https://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-route-applications/can-a-northern-ireland-resident-apply-for-eea-family-visa-t159072.ht...

Re: Becoming UK Citizen with Tier 2 Visa?

You cannot be on a '10 year route to settlement' if you are on a Tier 2 General visa.

What exactly does your visa state?

What application form did you use to apply for your current visa?

How long is the current visa valid for?

The term 'settlement' means ILR - Indefinite Leave to Remain

Re: Tier 2 to ILR

If you have not got a tier 2 visa with the new sponsor, you cannot use their letter. You will have to switch visas/sponsors first and then apply for ILR.

The stamp must have been in the passport already as it has nothing to do with UK HO or UK Immigration or UK citizenship issues.

18 weeks and 5 days and still no decision. Still well within the 6 months timeframe but disheartening when applications for the Month later than I applied being decided. My application was a straight forward case . 6 years DLR , ILR granted Feb 17, married to British Citizen. Only out the country 1...

Re: Warning stamp instead of dependent visa for newborn .

HO wouldn't stamp that as it is not their jurisdiction to do it. Are you sure it wasn't there before and stamped by the India embassy authorities? The wording of the stamp has nothing to do with UK immigration. Did you get a letter with the passport? Visas are not 'stamped' in the passport anymore, ...

Re: Employer insists on worker authorisation when exempt - Croatian national

I see now... Thanks. So basically this document could be used as opposed to applying for a registration certificate. Again employers might want to see a registration certificate as a piece of mind. Yes, having the physical evidence of a residence card is always better and far less stressful. Employ...

Hi Croatia2013, Just so you know there are no advantages from being married to a British Citizen other than being allowed to apply for British Citizenship after 5 years instead of 6. beside that; EU Citizens should expect employers to ask for evidence of their rights to live and work in the UK by p...

The premium centre in Liverpool is not where your FLR(FP) application is. You cannot go to the Liverpool COD offices to make a visa application, they won't let you in.

For 10 year ILR, you can use time spent on EEA EFM provided you have evidence of the EU partner being a qualified person exercising treaty rights and it is all submitted with your application. However, to qualify for ILR long residence, you must have 10 years of lawful stay, which you don't have as ...
