If you have applied for travel document they ask u to return your country of origin passports. They send a letter back as an acknowledgement that they have received your passports and will be kept until u hold the travel document. So u can send them that letter if you have it.

The only confirmation you get is an email which is straight away after submitting the online application on gov.uk
