Re: NCS advantages compared to applying directly

No there is no difference in the processing times in applying through NCS or directly. However i would always recommend using NCS as you get to keep your original documents including your passport which can be used to travel in an emergency.

Re: Citizenship and Passport Combined Application

I would rather people using some common sense and reading through the thread before starting a new topic as the current thread will give you all the answers.

Yhdil should have gone through the thread to which CR001 provided a link for before starting a new topic

If you applied through 10 years long residence then i would say put in the date when you entered the first time i-e on student visa because i did the same when i applied for my naturalisation 3 years ago.

Paying by Cheque or Debit Card ?

Hi all,

Does it make any difference if we pay the fee by cheque or debit card. I would imagine paying by cheque takes longer to hit the bank account thus delaying the application process as they will not start looking at the application before the payment is cleared.

Thanks

Re: Naturalisation and Passport Pilot Scheme

Wandsworth council is doing it too but only for appointments on weekdays. On the fee side you have to pay £1005 + £72.50 passport fee plus any NCS fees for the council. The passport fee is not refundable in the event of naturalisation application refusal.

I don't think contacting UKBA will make any difference as she had no income at the time of the application.

Re: Naturalisation Application No Reply

I think you will be very lucky to have fee deducted within 5 days. It is currently taking on average 3 to 4 weeks to deduct the fee and receiving the acknowledgement/bio-metrics request letter. So don't worry just yet.....

I am a British citizen (through naturalisation) and my wife came to the UK in Dec 2012 under spouse visa for 27 months (old rules). She was granted ILR in Nov 2014 so now she will be apply...
