Re: Travel outside UK for child (India passport and no UK vi

Hi there, One thing is sure that you getting naturalisation certificate for your son is a distant dream now because you may not have sent his Indian passport to HO and that is why it is taking too long to register him as BC. The issues I see as of now are (1) Child (Indian) out of country (2) No UK ...

End to end including weekends for May it is taking 110 days...which is definitely slower but I guess it may improve as you wont have too many passport applications (I guess)

Re: August 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Received acknowledgement letter, it clearly says they are going to decide in 6 months. I would wait for that time frame and keep an eye on timelines in this forum. Good luck all... waiting time begins :D Eligibility criteria: 5 years Tier 1 + 12 months ILR Language criteria met: IELTS (re-using the ...

Re: Naturalisation app MN1, AN with possible emigration inte

My opinion I guess you are worried for no reason here. Almost all of people who are naturalising they are saying that they intend to stay in UK but what if there is good opportunity to work out of UK or for any family reason why wont any one travel. I guess HO just wants every one to make sure that ...

Re: Need clarification about eligibility of citizenship

You cant spend more than 90 days in your final year after getting ILR. So no question of 6 months.. if you have to go out and if you intend to take British citizenship after holding ILR for one year then you should be out only for 90 days.

What is the name in the naturalisation certificate ?

That is the name which is going to be followed in all British documents unless you go for change in name. All the relevant information is in the below link...

Re: Nationality Query

He doesnt have any Nationality and I guess would be stateless. You didnt register him as Indian so he wont be Indian either. I dont know Indian laws but what I have read normally it is wifes nationality what son takes for those who are not on settled status. I would leave that space blank(no need to...

Re: English Language requirement

I guess wait for HO to come back, they normally would ask you for more information if they are in doubt. There are few members in this forum where the HO have asked to send more information about their English capabilities. I guess if there is anomaly they would come back. Hope you don't have that s...

One of the referee should be british and the other one could be any nationality so I dont see that as an issue to find, unless you live completely in hibernation with no social contacts..

If your son born in UK then yes he is british by birth and can apply directly for passport considering you have settled status.

If your son is born outside.. you have to register him as BC by using form MN.
