Document Requirement for Naturalisation

Post by Abby10 » Thu Jan 12, 2023 10:03 am

Hello Team,
Happy New Year!!

I have my document submission for Naturalisation in next few days and will need your help to understand what all I need to carry.

The passport issued by **** for Mr ****
This is my current passport

Mr ***** certificate proving you have a speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher
This is my B1 Certificate which I used whiule applying for my ILR in 2020

Proof of living in the UK for Mr **** for 5 years if applying in your own right or 3 years if applying as the spouse of a British Citizen
This is the one I am confused, please can you let me know what document should I be providing here

Current Biometric Residence Permit for Mr ***
This is my current ILR which was issued to me in 2020

Two referee declarations for Mr ****
I have 2 referee, one is a Teacher and one is a Gas Engineer. Am I right they can be my referee as per their profession as I understand one needs to be from a professional body.

As the document submission is in next few days any urgent help will be highly appriciated.

Please also let me know if I need to carry any more additional documents.

No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Thank you so much.

Yes you are right I am an Indian Citizen so my passport is stamped everytime and arrive to/depart from UK

Yes both the referee are British Citizen and above 25 Years.

I hope this covers all the documents and I dont need any more to add?
Like, Pay Slip, P60, Mortgage Deed, Council Tax, Bank Statement etc?

Seperate Application

Post by Abby10 » Fri Jan 13, 2023 11:55 am

Hi Team,

We are a family of 3 (2 Adult and a Kid).
Due to the amount of Fee involved we are processing our application one by one.

I am the first one to apply for my Naturlisation and them my Spouse and kid will apply next month (after my documents are submitted next week)

I have said NO for this question
Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?

Am I right?

for my spouse and Kid what should the answer be?

You have dependents who are not applying at this time but will do at a later date so answer should be YES

Cover note to address the error.
If applying for spouse and children together it's NO.
