A2 test for Spouse visa further leave to remain - when to take it?

Hi,
Just checking, the A2 (Life Skills for UKVI) English language test used for FLR application - does it need to be taken within 28 days of submitting the application for FLR or does it have a 2 year validity and so long as the certificate has not expired it can be submitted with the application?

No to the 28 days question

Yes to the two year valid question.

Even if it is expired but still it can be used for flrm extension provided the test is on UKVI list. A2 test is only available from inside the UK which can be used for first spouse visa application & its extension.
