Is accomodation proof needed if applying together with spouse

Post by malihaashraf34 » Fri Dec 27, 2019 7:33 pm

Hello,

If main applicant is applying for tier-4 general student visa and at the same time submiting his spouse application as dependent. Do we need to submit any accomodation proof? I heard that , to take spouse with ou, you need to have valid accomodation

Thanks

Can a dependent of Tier-4 student provide bank statement/certificate of her/his parent?

Post by malihaashraf34 » Fri Dec 27, 2019 9:20 pm

Hi,

We just applied for the visa but haven't submitted the documents. We did a blunder, we thought that since the university is providing yearly bursary that cover mains applicant fully and still there is a amount remaining, we didnt submitted complete maintenance amount for my spouse.

Now we read somewhere that even if the scholarship has amount for dependent, if it is not intedned for her, we that doesnt count in her maintenance.

Now, can we submit the bank statement of her parents? what can be the solution?

If by "amount for dependant" you mean extra scholarship money for the Tier 4 migrant not specifically mean for the dependant, yes that is correct.

Bank statements can only be in the name of the applicant or of the Tier 4 migrant. Moreover, if you have already submitted all the documents there isn't normally a way to add more. You might want to withdraw the dependant application and apply again with the right documents.

No. Wherever you heard that, you should stop listening. It is wrong.

Thankyou for the response. Actually, we have submitted the processing fees and IHS but we still have one week to upload the documents.

My dependent has 3100 GBP short in her bank statement now, what can be done to avoid rejection, is there any slightest of chance to still get the visa?

1. At any time.

Re: New funds, explaination in Cover letter

Post by malihaashraf34 » Sat Dec 28, 2019 8:41 pm

Thankyou for the response and merging.

We have got new funds to show now but since our bio-metric is in 7 days what should be the best option? Can we submit the new bank statement and write in cover letter that these funds were not able to reach before and home office can ask for 28 days certificate from us if they want.

Or should we cancel the appointment and apply after 28 days?

Hi, Can you please unlock the post below, I am exactly in the same situation and want to know what the poster means by "petition stating that you are applying as dependent of formal applicant"

Old topics won't be unlocked, especially as the user has not logged into the forum since October 2018. The user likely meant a LETTER and not a "petition".
