Tier 2 General Application Process

Hi Team,

I am on Tier 2 ICT visa and my wife’s company agreed to provide her sponsorship. She is pregnant now and cannot travel after January 2019.She if due to go back to home country for delivery by month end. Her company has started the market study and will be applying for COS by Jan end

1) If her company is applying for COS, can the COS date be set to Aug/Sept when she will be ready to come back and join work. she can then raise tier 2 visa from home country and then travel in Aug

2) We could request her company to apply for the COS in Aug/Sept, but worried that they will have to again carry out market study as we heard it’s valid for only 6 months

A CoS must be used within 3 months once approved and assigned. So no, you can't have a start date towards the end of the year next year without Rlmt being done again.

Apologies if I am asking repeated questions already posted in the forum

I am currently on ICT Tier 2 long term visa and my wife who is working as dependent now will be going back to India next month to apply for Tier 2 general visa (her company decided to sponsor). Could you please help me out with the following

1) Need to understand the process. Do we need to fill up the application form at gov.uk initially, followed by downloading the application form and visiting VFS global centre in India for bio metrics ?

2) I can see various class of premium services offered by VFS. Does any of the premium class of service offer faster processing of the visa.

3) We expect to get COS from company by Jan 11th. Can we submit the application and complete the whole bio metric process and get passport back in 4 weeks time
