English test for Spouse from Pakistan

Post by umair2017 » Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:43 pm

Hello dear members and admins,

I am currently on indefinite leave and need some information regarding spouse visa. As far as I know she needs to do B1 test to prove her english language. Please can you tell if its correct or any other english test is required?

Also can anyone tell me how and where can she prepare for it in Pakistan and how long is the test valid for?

Apologies if this is the repeat post, I havent seen any post yet similar to this. Can anyone also tell me other requirements for spouse visa from Pakistan?

There is A1, A2 and B1 tests. A1 is for first Spouse visa application, A2 is for the renewal/extension after first 2.5 years and B1 comes handy for ILR. If the applicant has a sufficient understanding of English language can directly go for B1 and save cost and time.

Find in above approved UKVI English test centres in Pakistan.

Tuberculosis Test Certificate, this is valid for 6months https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-pakistan

Other general requirements can be found on gov.uk

If she has masters or bachelor honours degree then it maybe equivalent to UK bachelor degree. In that case you can use the naric red route as an alternate of English test.

Thanks guys for the information. She hasn't done masters or degree yet. She is still studying. Any idea where she can start preparing for the B1 test... Any institute or website/books?

Hi,
For the purpose of booking A1, or B1 or any English language IELTS test you will need to register your yourself, the applicant, on their official website, once the test is booked they will provide you all material online and will show in your account online. That will be very handy. Wish you good luck.
Regards,
