Spouse Settlement Query

Post by surabhi » Tue Mar 03, 2020 8:14 pm

Hi,
Pls can some one help with my information request.

1)Spouse + 2 children going to complete 5 year continuous stay as dependent of a settled person visa.
They landed in UK on April 22 2015(on dependent of settled person visa). Can I assume that application booked for March 30 2020 is valid under the 28 day rule?

2)I am planning to apply under Category D of financial requirement .
Guidance note says the savings under applicant/partner or jointly must be
(x-16000)=y and
In my case if I am able to show total savings greater than 40800(spouse + 2 children..
ie 40800-16000=24800) for last 6 months, then I don't have to show any other income/salary certificate/p60 etc? Is this assumption correct?

3) the correct application is SET(AF)?

Appreciate any help ..

Regards
Surabhi

1. They can apply no sooner than with 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date they entered the UK.

3. It is NOT form Set AF. It is Set M for ilr.

Your calculations are incorrect. If you have no other income to combine then you need following amount of cash savings:

£24800*2.5+16000= £78000

Not for SET M. No need to multiply by 2.5 years.

SET M cohabitation documents

Post by surabhi » Mon Mar 09, 2020 2:36 pm

Hi,
For SET M the cohabitation document is mentioned as

"6 letters and/or other documents addressed to you and your partner at the same address to show that you have been living together during the past 2.5 years"

has this to be from different sources?
I was thinking monthly bank statements comes in from same bank for a joint account. Is it valid or it has to be collected from different sources?

Appreciate any reply

regards

Should be from at least 3 sources such as bank statement, council tax bill, utility bills, NHS, DVLA etc

thank you.
When I did the dependent visa extensions, there was some area(may be in guidance), which talk about how many documents you should submit, if you don't have letters in joint name etc.Cant see that information now..Pls can any one know where can I see that info?
I assume that these documents has to be originals? not online? these days almost all utility bills, council tax etc are online.

Hi,
came across a question in SETM.
I am applying within 28 days of 5 year completion.
Question is
'How long have you stayed in UK?'

So the answer is

a)4 year 11 months
or
b)5 years

thanks

Also There is a last question in the SETM--> under dependent child

''Are you and your partner married or in a civil partnership?''

Is it about the dependent child or is it about their parent? Quite confusing

Hi,
I am waiting for my eligiblity day(within 28 days) to submit SETM application online.Pls can any one help me whether below are the steps and I am not missing anything?

1.Submit online application to a max of 28 days prior to your first entry in UK in visas-immigration.service.gov.uk

2.Pay the ILR fee online @ //visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/

3.Now login to UKVCAS(using same login as visas-immigration or need to create a new one in UKVCAS?)

4.upload all documents scanned copies to UKVCAS

5.Book an appointment with UKVCAS for bio metric(with the fee payment)

6.visit UKVCAS and do biomentric.

Question-
------------
Where Do I submit original documents?;; eg current passport etc?
or UKVCAS will verify them and return it and no need to send originals?

regards

Originals are not submitted anymore. Everything is scanned and uploaded.

Ukcvas only need your original passport and brp to verify identity. No originals are sent to ho.

Just looking if any one has any info about the below query.

I understand that at the moment all Supra service centres are closed and UKVI website allows you to book at standard application. There is no super priority etc applications allowed now.

Just wondering whether normally there is an option to upgrade to a priority service , after you apply as standard service?I am just thinking the timeline for ILR under standard option is 6 months and from the forum many threads shows its more than that.So is it a good idea to submit now under standard option and wait? I have another 5 months left in my visa even though the 5 year completion is by next month.

There is no upgrade service anymore.

Standard service under normal circumstances is 8 weeks

Hi CR001,
So if someone applies now for ILR through standard service under current circumstances, does it matter that the biometrics must be done within the certain time period (after submitting online application) or it solely depends upon the availability of the appointment at Sopera Steria center after they reopen ?I mean to ask will it not affect the application (other than delay in the decision making )if biometrics appointments takes place too long after the submission of online application?

Thanks

Hello...
Just thinking some options ..
I have submitted my SETM applications and waiting for Biometric centers to open for Business to all.Its been 2 months, since I submitted application(that time super priority was not allowed..hence applied as normal application) and current current visa is going to run out in another 2 months time.

So My question..
Assume that in next 2 weeks time Biomentric centers will be opened and Govt allows super priority service..In that case am I able to cancel my current Visa application(for which fee has been paid) and am I able to get full refund?
Then I resubmit the application again with super priority service? Is this going to affect my application in any manner badly?
Can some one advice or share your thoughts?
