Unclear about ILR eligibiltiy

Post by singhJ » Tue Jun 14, 2011 1:31 pm

hi all,
I am bit confused about the eligibility for ILR for dependents. I thought you could help me in that.
I got married and came to UK as a dependent of a Workpermit holder in AUG 2008. My partner is here in the UK since SEPTEMBER 2007 and we have converted our visa status from WP holder to Tier-1 holder/dependent in JAN 2010. My husband will be eligible for ILR in SEPTEMBER 2012. Now comes a tricky bit. I am planning to be away from UK for about six months (from October 2011 to March 2012) for pregnancy. I should be back to UK in April 2012 with my child. My question is will I and my child be eligible for ILR (as dependents) when my husband apply for his ILR in SEPTEMBER 2012? Will my period of absence from UK affect my eligibility for ILR? If I get some advise from you, that would be great. May be this has been discussed before and I haven't found it. so a link to a discussion would be great.

Thanks for your help.
