Need Advice on Certificate of Sponsorship

Post by abhishekmoghe » Sat Feb 09, 2019 11:37 pm

Hello team, I need one advice on my new employer's Certificate of Sponsorship. I am currently on Tier-2 ICT long term Dependent visa. I am selected in a new company and they are giving me Tier-2 General Visa. They have issued a CoS and the category is Tier 2 (General- switch immigration category), Job Type is 2136 Programmers and software development and Salary is £30,000 as an experienced worker
Is the category, Job Type and Salary appropriate? If not, what it should be ?
Thanks

They have issued a CoS and the category is Tier 2 (General- switch immigration category),

You are NOT 'switching'. You RCoS MUST be a New Hire category to apply outside the UK after the sponsor has completed the full and proper RLMT process.
Job Type is 2136 Programmers and software development and Salary is £30,000 as an experienced worker
Salary is not sufficient for experienced worker.
Is the category, Job Type and Salary appropriate? If not, what it should be ?
Not appropriate. See Appendix J in link below (assuming your job is not a shortage occupation one). Minimum salary for SOC 2136 experienced worker is £32,000 based on 39 hours per week. If you apply with £30,000, it will be refused, that is besides the fact that the CoS is not correct.

2136 Programmers and software development professionals Example job tasks
• examines existing software and determines requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs;
• undertakes feasibility study to design software solutions;
• writes and codes individual programs according to specifications;
• develops user interfaces;
• tests and corrects software programs;
• writes code for specialist programming for computer games, (for example, artificial intelligence, 3D engine development);
• implements and evaluates the software;
• plans and maintains database structures;
• writes operational documentation and provides subsequent support and training for users.

Related job titles:
• Analyst-programmer
• Database developer
• Games programmer
• Programmer • Software engineer

Salary rates:
New entrant: £24,000

Experienced worker: £32,000

What salary did the RLMT state when the sponsor advertised the job??

Thanks.
Can they apply with jobcode 2139 functional tester rather then 2136?
Do change in job type also require new RLMT?
