I'd really appreciate some advice on the documents to support my British naturalisation application. I currently have settlement status (Indefinite leave to remain) and have held it for more than 12 months.
I filled in the online application form and indicated that the supporting documents I would present include my current passport, residence permit, language certificate, referee declarations, and proof of freedom of immigration restrictions — I assumed this is the residence permit.
My question is about the proof of freedom of immigration restrictions: can I just submit my residence permit to cover both, the proof of freedom of immigration restrictions and the residence permit itself?Your BRP has written on it "Indefinite leave to remain" that means you're free from restictions.
I can't find the letter from the Hope Office letting me know my application for ILR was approved, but I do have the letter that I received with my residence permit: would this letter be accepted as proof of freedom of immigration restrictions? Not required. BRP does all the work.
Thanks for your time and advice.
