Tier 5 YMS to FLR (M)

Post by lindzzz » Sun Nov 25, 2018 2:04 pm

I am currently in the process of applying for my first FLR (M) as my Tier 5 expires in feb 2019. Part of the supporting documents as part of the application are 'Items of correspondence addressed both of us at the same address as evidence you have been living together since your last grant of leave in this category, or from the date you first started living together, covering the last 2 years'

We've lived together for over 1.5 so don't meet the two year requirement but if we're already married is it a requirement to prove we have lived together for two years?

Is there a different requirement for items of correspondence if I'm transferring from Tier 5 to FLR (m)?

No 2 year requirement if you are married. Submit what you have since marriage date.

Only evidence that you have been living together since your marriage is required. You should however, submit proof of a genuine relationship, photos together, contact while apart, etc.

Hi lindzzz, :D

I've recently successfully switched from a Tier 5 visa to FLR M so I can tell you what we provided as proof of our relationship.

We submitted our marriage certificate and correspondence (bills, letters from NHS, DWP etc) covering the entire period we had been living together since I arrived on my Tier 5 (January 2017 - November 2018). We did not submit any photographs or chat logs, however your situation may vary.

Also, since the application system is changing, the new online form strictly states that they do not want any photographs or chat logs.

Hope this helps!

FLR m) supporting documents list

Post by lindzzz » Mon Nov 26, 2018 9:03 pm

I am currently on Tier 5 YMS visa applying for FLR (M) with my partner (married). I have a few questions about the supporting documents, you can see my draft list below. I've used this discussion board and others to develop the list but want to make sure everything's there and in the right order.

Are a cover letter from me and letter of sponsorship from my partner required?
What is the best way to certify my payslips if they are electronic and my employer doesn't have a company stamp?
Is a letter from my letting agency required, or is our lease sufficient?

Thanks in advance!

Q3 of FLR M visa app and proving accommodation

Post by lindzzz » Wed Dec 26, 2018 4:09 pm

Hiya,

I'm applying for my first FLR M visa after being on a Tier 5 YMS visa. I'm confused about Q3 on the visa app 'Is your current entry clearance or leave to remain as the partner of one of the following?' - do I answer no because I'm currently on a different visa?

Also, I have an electronic lease from the letting agents - will it be accepted as an original copy if I just print it off?

Thanks for your help!

It is no as you have a different category of visa.

You need originals if possible.

Thanks! The online lease technically is the original as we signed the lease online. Should I see if the letting agents can write a letter confirming the lease is authentic?
