Spousal Visa and Benefits

Post by r4b » Fri Mar 28, 2014 5:05 pm

To add. My wife was refused wife settlement visa for UK on the grounds that i receive benefits that are not allowed to count as adequate maintenance even though i am way about the minimum required. I am on D.L.A so i met the financial requirements but not the maintenance. For the record my benefits refused are as follows.... E.S.A.... CHILD TAX CREDIT.....HOUSING BENEFIT....CHILD BENEFIT...

Housing benefit is not and never has been classed as 'income' and it is always disregarded in any income calculations.

r4b you've posted in a thread that is 6 years old and way out of date!

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

I have spilt the thread as it was attached to an old one as pointed out by Casa.

No benefit income, including housing benefit, is said to be excluded for the purpose of adequate maintenance (click), therefore, appeal.
