I had already checked the document on the Belgium Embassy site in India but there is no specigic document for the family member of eu citizen. Now Can you please tell me the full document checklist..chaoclive wrote:I'm sure she can find a document list on the website of Belgian Embassy in her home country.
When my civil partner applied at the Embassy of the Netherlands in 2011, we just produced:
-completed application form
-both of our passports
-our civil partnership certificate
-a copy of our flight booking
-passport sized pic (1 I think).
You should check the Embassy website before coming back here to ask detailed questions.
Had you not submitted any finical document like bank statment or pay slips?chaoclive wrote:I have told you everything that we submitted.
What about Google?
Should i go directly to Belgium Embassy or go to VFS to submit my visa application under Directive 2004/38/EC and I have a 12 year son also and what is procedure for him obtain visa also?chaoclive wrote:I applied as a British citizen for a visa for my non-EEA civil partner to go to the Netherlands with me under Directive 2004/38/EC. This Directive doesn't require financials. Read the following links to get familiar with the Directive:

If you have specific questions please email VFS (the company that deals with Belgian Visas in India directly via email): http://www.vfs-be-in.com/contactus.html.
Don't get confused with the national legislation in the countries where you are living. The above is European Law.
My son is Indian national and he was borned when I hold Indian nationality. So he is not a British citizen by descent. Should I go to India for apply visa for my wife and son?chaoclive wrote:In Beijing, all dealings for the Embassy of the Netherlands are now with VFS (or other visa processing companies). I guess India will be the same.
RE: Your son: tell us more details about his citizenship etc and someone will probably have an answer for you. If he is non-EEA he will also need the visa, the same as your wife. However, the process should be quite straightforward and its free. You will need his birth cert.
When did you become a British citizen? After your child was born?
