Visit visa sponsor documents

Hello I was wondering if anyone could give me advice. I am a British citizen and I have a boyfriend who lives in fiji. I have visited fiji many times and now I would like to my boyfriend to come and visit me and also get to visit England. I will be sponsoring his stay here for the duration of the visit. Please can someone advise me on what documents I need to support his visit visa application.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
