General Queries on Spouse Visa

Post by lostspouse84 » Sat May 17, 2014 10:09 pm

Hi Everyone,

If you could please kindly give me your time and advice on my matter.

I have been at my work place almost 11 months. But the first 7 months I hard constant work which I had made just £11,000 before tax. I was getting my papers ready due to my wife and her studies she hadn't made her passport id card or take the English test within time of 6 .months. Now it has been over two months I have not work from my work place but it eventually will pick up due to seasonal work.

My question is can I still apply for her visa even though I had almost two months of quiet work. Would my first 7 months, not count, unfortunately I did have a little savings which was spent recently due to emergency. I am receiving working tax credit as well.

I heard if one has a saving of £66,000 they would have no problem calling their spouse over. Can someone please expand on that.

What advice can anyone give me as this really stressing me.

Thanks hope to hear soon from someone.

If you've not worked for 2 months you may struggle, especially if you haven't actually earned £18,600 Gross in the last 12 months.

Do you have £62,500 in savings?

I thought you showed 6 months of work then they average it out. I worked but like one day a week.

Please tell me more about this £62,500 in savings.

Thanks

Yes you can do 6 months, but your wages are varied, working one day a week isn't going to produce an annual income that meets the Financial Requirement unless you earn over £350 a day.

If you have held £62,500 in savings for 6 or more months that should meet the Financial Requirement.

That's true. Back to the drawing board again.

This £62,500 have to be in there before the marriage or after? Because I'm still getting my official presents even now 11 months after the wedding. If I had that amount of savings I could apply for my spouse visa as normal? Do I declare where the money has come from?

Thanks

So far as you've had the money in your account for 6 months or more you can.
