Wife's ILR. Which Form To Use Flr(M) Or Set(M)

Question for senior members.

I was a PBS Migrant from March 2008 to April 2014. My wife became my PBS dependant and arrived to UK in March 2009. She has since been in UK. I got 10 year ILR (long residence) in May 2014. I now want to apply for my wife's ILR. She has already passed LiUK test and English test (meeting minimum required level of English). Which form do I need to fill in for her ILR - FLR(M) or SET(M). Please advise.

As you obtained ILR through long residency, your wife will have to switch to FLR(M) - spouse of person settled and she will have to complete 5 years on FLR(M) before she can apply on SET(M) for ILR - the rules changed on 6th April 2014.

She can apply sooner if she reaches 10 years long residence herself in 2019.

For FLR(M) - A1 English and financial requirement has to be met.

You would have been able to apply for ILR for both of you at the same time if you had applied as a PBS migrant and dependent based on 5 years residence.
