If you take a look at this : April 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline , you will see that there are EEA Nationals applications which are still not processed after more than 7 months...

I am thinking of writing to MP now to ask for explanations on why EEA applications are being held up...

hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I also applied in July, but looking at May and June forums I don't expect any news before October.
Plus I heard that EEA applications without ILR tend to take longer. Anyone knows anything about that?
well so far I have not heard anything and I won't even bother calling anywhere until it's been 6 months. I guess it will be done when it's done. Luckily I am not in any hurry and as I applied through NCS I have all my documents for travel. It would be great to hear from someone in a similar shoes whose application was ALREADY approved. Anyone here from July (or June or May?)?

Hi mates, it seems that even the application for kids takes a long time. The MN1 applications for kids submitted in July took about 3.5 moths for approval. Of 17 MN1 applications made in July, still 4 have not received approval. The last one got 5 Nov after 3 months 26 days.

Did you now that HO received 165000 applications in 6 months (Jan-Sep2013)? This means about 27000 applications per month or 1400 per day. So considering 80 applicants in our Forum (July 2014), we are only about 0.3 percent of all applications received by HO in July.
It is a very tiny portion. So do you think that we can generalise and make any assumptions based on the info in our forum?

I totally agree that any generalization based on an infinitesimally small ratio is inappropriate, never mid statistically insignificant.
My only gripe with the process is the sometimes apparent lack of consistency in processing times. A straightforward application submitted in July should be processed before one submitted in late August, other things being equal. Applications that require a lot of verifications, or persons applying under a discretionary clause should take longer.
BTW - Jan-Sept 2013 = 9 months, so 165000/9= 18,333/mo . The number of 'working days' varies month to month, but even with a high of 22 working days the daily average would be 833 applications/day.

and if we multiply 18,333 by £906, that is 16.6 million quid each month HO is making just from naturalisation applications...

Hi All,
One more July applicant (Ind2) got his/her approval 21-23 October. Just updated his/her timeline
But as you said it was really quiet in the last 2 weeks (Not only for July but for May and June applicants as well)

Hi I am from EU and I also applied in July 2014 (31 July). I have a question: Why people who applied much later then me for example in August or even September have they decisions??? why I have to still wait???? from what it is dependence?? From my point of view is bit unfair and confusing because I am worrying constantly!

Yes, I'm on the same boat . I'm also EU member and applied on 30-07-14 and still waiting. Other nationalities are being approved for as short as 6 weeks and looks like from the other topics that HO is being holding the EU applications for very long time. I don't get it...
People from April even are still waiting.
What is going on???

It's not just EU member who kept for 5-6 months,I'm from middle east and I'm in my 4th months which still got 2 more months left to 6 months, but I knw I'll be waiting for a year because from decrmber 2013 because of some unknown reason people from Iran/Iraq/Afghanistan and Pakistan usually kept over 6 months and even I knw over at least 10 people who's waiting from dec2013 and January 2014 and yet even didn't recieved the explain letter..I gave up the hope for 6 months and focus on 12 to 18 months because i knw that's the way at the moment treat most of us,usually if they give us by 3 to 4 months that's nornal but if pass the 4 months it's not gone come till the 6 months pass, that's hw I knw I'm in the 1 year to 1/5 year wait ..just we have to wait and can't do noting about it as it's not our right by law which understandble and if we get it it's a privilege ..by the law we have to keep waiting and quiet ,just knw it's not just you..the only people usually get it on time are from commonwealth which again make sense again by law..then sit tight and carry on what u do normaly,if came sooner that's a bounes if not we can't do noting part from wait and observe...good luck and may the good karma be on ur side..
