Hi - I applied for my ILR on Dec 2nd, with the approach that it was merely a formality as I had dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's... however, I wasn't aware that the salary minimum had gone up (effectively £10k in my SOC code)... I was advised my case worker, and his senior case worker that all I needed was to speak to my employer, get a raise and reapply... I just needed one payslip reflecting this new salary.
I have done this - however, my net payout will be roughly the same as my previous month salary due to a couple days of unpaid leave in December... will this be a problem or am I now being paranoid?
I have no idea how the case worker's work - i.e, I just thought they checked all the docs and made calls when/where necessary - so, would I be correct in understanding that I can submit all my docs on Dec 19th (my next appt - I really want this done before I leave on holiday!) and this should all go smoothly - with a possible call to my contact on my letter of employment to confirm all this?
Or should I be submitting more info?
I would SO appreciate any advice on this... I called one of those 'free immigration lawyers' for help, but he kept trying to insist that I bring in my paperwork for them to look at... I don't have any 'paperwork' other than the docs required for submission...
Thanks,
Jan
