Hi again everyone, our long, protracted struggle to live together continues. Can anyone offer some advice please, we are finally all prepared to apply for visas for my Ukrainian wife and two step children (7 and 16) to join me here. This weekend we sat down and started their applications. After a few false starts we got my wife's application sorted, and paid for. (first mistake). Now, when starting the children's applications, I don't know if they will be joining their parent( I have not adopted them), or if they are dependant relatives. Help! It appears to me that the visa fee for dependant relatives is twice that which my wife would pay. If this is the case, then our application plans will need a massive rethink, and I'll probably end up looking for work somewhere in the EU! Does anyone have experience of this situation? We are both at breaking point with the whole situation, and just want to live together, I remember hearing that Mr Cameron says everyone has the right to a family life.....hmm, as long as you pay...it seems! many thanks in advance of any replies... Si..
