ILR - HMRC and Police Registration issues

Hi All

Hope to get some advice/information on issues with HMRC and Police Registration that I have.
I'm on Tier 1 General, working as Director of my own Ltd, drawing salary+dividends.

1st visa valid from: 02 Aug 2010
Entered UK: 03 Aug 2010
Extended in 2012, current visa valid until: 02 Aug 2015
Plan to apply for ILR in July 2015

When extending in 2012, have supplied my company and personal bank statements, company accounts, payslips and dividend vouchers.
Later that year, I have received a letter from HMRC saying that they have found a mistake in my SA and I owe £500 of unpaid taxes. I immediately called HMRC, they told me they'll mark it as "non-deliberate mistake" on their records, and of course I paid my tax and fines.

Another issue: I am required to register with Police. Did so when I entered UK, but then I forgot to update my registration when extended visa in 2012. Only did so in 2014 when changing the address. Got told off by police officer, but no fine imposed.

When I apply for ILR:
1) Will this discrepancy between SA return and Tier 1 numbers in 2012 be regarded as deception, given I have rectified the error?
2) The omission with PR, will it be considered a breach of terms of stay, again given that I fixed the mistake?

And one more question:

3) When I apply for ILR in June, if my application is delayed for checks until after 02 Aug 2015, and then refused - does it mean I will have no right to appeal, because my current leave will expire by then?

underpaiad tax is not an issue with HMRC, they will cut the amount from the next tax year.

I had the same issue when my tax was underpaid £102.25 from 2012-2013. It was taken back from 2013-2014. HMRC does this calculation and sends sheets.

Its called P800/T or something for the next tax record, with the current employer PAYE Ref

My concern here is not HMRC, but cross-checks that UKBA will do regarding numbers I supplied to them in 2012 and numbers from HMRC - they might interpret that as deception? I've seen several posts here regarding people accused of deception because of discrepancy between self-assessment and tier 1 docs. Though those people also had outstanding tax to pay when applying for ILR, unlike me.

And still for 2 and 3 - anyone had problems because of non-timely Police Registration?

What's the appeal situation in case of additional checks delay and refusal?

I am not sure about police registration, but w.r .t HMRC, HO has has no way of verification or evidences of taxes paid unless they check HMRC records.

If there is a mismatch, ( taxes not paid) or any letter not provided like tax exempted or HMRC letter showing tax paid or to be collected next year nobody can do anything.

Its all under the scrutiny and discretion of the case worker.

best bet would be to consider an tax investigation specialist.
