Hello Everyone. I am really grateful to this forum for all the advice being given to people. Thanks a lot.
I need your advice concerning an issue that is bugging me on a daily basis. I hold a EEA Residence Card ( Extended Family Member of an EEA National ) presently and this 5 Year Residence Card will expire March 2016. I am already thinking of my PR application next year. However, I am married but my wife does not live in the UK with me for now. She lives back home in Nigeria. I always go to spend time with her and on my last visit, I spent 2 months with her. I have never spent more than 2 months out of the UK. The plan is to apply for her to join me in England after I get my PR next year ( By God's grace ).
Now, I want to ask a question- Will I be required to meet the £18,000 pounds earnings level to be able to file for my wife to join me in the UK? I am asking this question because by then I will be holding a Permanent Residence Card ( EEA ) and not an ILR ( UK equivalent ). Under the EEA rules, will I need to be earning £18,000 to bring my wife to the UK to join me? I work at the moment with Agencies and my job is not a white collar job for now. So what can I do? And what do i need to do to bring my wife to the UK after getting my PR Card? Please help me out. Thanks a lot. Cheers.
