Tier 2 General After April 2015

Post by javedm » Sun Apr 05, 2015 9:36 pm

Hi

I have recently spoken with one of Tier 2 sponsors in the UK who told that I need to bear the additional charge for Tier 2 application from 1st April 2015, i.e., NHS Contribution - £725. Is this true? I have not heard of this before so please advice if there is any change in Tier 2 rules recently after April 2015. If yes, who needs to pay this? Employer or employee?

Kind regards,
Javed

You would need to pay and it comes into effect tomorrow. It is £200 per year per person for the duration of your vissue issue timeframe (£200 x 5 years) and will need to be paid for main applicants and any dependents. It is payable at the point of visa application.

You will use NHS, not your employer, so the surcharge is for the applicants cost. If you google NHS surcharge you should get all the info.
