Can European who became BC change his wife family visa?

Post by bestshow » Mon Apr 06, 2015 11:53 am

Hi all, please give me accurate information about the following issue:

friend of mine is Dutch living in the UK, and brought his wife to the UK as a spouse of EEU. his wife is from outside EEU and has granted 5 years spouse visa since March 2012. now my friend is eligible for UK citizenship and wants to know If he gets the approval, will his wife be eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain immediately (3 years now) not to wait to complete 5 years? or she has to wait to complete 5 years period according to her visa stamp on her passport?

thanks a lot.
