SET(LR) Best Method of Payment

Post by rosina90 » Wed Apr 08, 2015 9:34 pm

Hello,

I need advice please. What is the best form of making payment if I will send my application by post? I have read some experiences online that they used Barclay Visa Debit and got declined due to Barclay's Anti Fraud even though they informed the bank earlier.

Also in the application form, it said...

Credit card - Visa (including Electron), MasterCard, or American Express (Amex)
Debit card - Delta, Maestro* (including Solo)

So does this mean HO will not accept Debit card that is Delta or Maestro?

Thank you in advance!

If your application is straightforward, you can apply in person for a same day service now.

No, from 6 April you can apply in person. It costs more though. All details on the new SET(LR) form.

I am applying on the basis of long residence. My only option is to send application by post. Am I right? Even so, there is an additional fee for premium.

So what would be the best payment form? thank you.

If you reluctant to use a debit csrd, you can pay by cheque or postal order.

£1500 for application postal or in person. Premium fee for in person is £400 extra, same day decision and no long wait without your documents.
