I read that under the Data Protection Act I have the right to demand a copy of all information the BIA hold about me.
Once again. Read the information in the previous post. Based on what you post you were granted ILR and this is not affected by losing your passport.Dakolina wrote:Do i have any legal right to request the ILR letter from my pa? I mean if he say no, would that be the end of this option? or he is required to give me a photocopy? sorry if my question see somehow naive, but I am clueless.
I am just thinking time wise this option might be quicker.
Don't forget to ask for photocopies of your landing card on the day you got ILR in 1999.Dakolina wrote:I have the letter ready to send tomorrow morning.
I included my full name, date of birth, nationality, my lost passport number, the date of our arrival and the ILR was stamped in my lost passport and the £10 cheque. I don't know what other information I can include that might help, I thought about including my national insurance number? anything else?
thanks for your response

NI number proves nothing, I bet I could get my cat a NI number.vinny wrote:As you have a NI number, I don't understand why you cannot work nor claim benefits.
