Enquiry or application escalated?

Post by heyheyheyguys » Wed Jun 03, 2015 5:00 am

I got the following email from UKVI. I was just wondering whether this means my application has been escalated or just the enquiry? How fast am I supposed to get it after the escalation?

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.

With regards to your query, we can see that your enquiry has been escalated
onto the relevant department who are investigating your case. As soon as
there has been an update or any information in regards to your case you
will be immediately notified.

For any further details, or should you need to contact us again please
refer to our website at https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/, select
appropriate country, click next and then select 'E-Mail form' and complete
as instructed. We will aim to come back to you within 1 day.

Kind regards,
Miyuki Y.

Thanks

It's a standard email and simply means that they are aware of your enquiry and it's been passed to the processing team. There's no indication of how long either the result of the enquiry or the decision on the application will take.
You only applied on 13th April and official UKVI statistics show that only 6% of settlement visa applications submitted in New Delhi are processed within 15 days. Most are decided in 60 days, with 100% processed in 90 days. You'll just have to be patient.

Hi Casa,

It shows that 70% are decided within 30 days, so that's why I'm worried at the delay.

Actually, 67% within 30 days, 98% within 60 days. Your application may be one of the higher percentage which are processed in 60 days.

The guidance also states: Note: actual processing times may vary depending on a range of factors.

Email from BHC

Post by heyheyheyguys » Wed Jun 03, 2015 5:29 pm

I just received an email from a BHC officer saying my visa is undergoing background checks and they were aware of my urgency and had conveyed the same to the visa officers. Anyone got such an email?

Hi Char, I'm sure others have the same questions and by discussing them we are only helping each other out. So your rudeness is unappreciated.
