Tier 1 General Converting to Tier 2 Work Permit

Hi,

Can anyone suggest/advise please.

I am on Tier 1 general category and will complete 5 years in dec 2015, I am eligible for ILR but could not earn sufficient funds to apply for ILR.

If my current employer (since 5 years) is ready to sponsor me is it possible to switch from Tier 1 to Tier 2?

If its possible what are the steps HR require to do.

I was on Post study work visa (PSW) when i was initially employed in 2010, i switched from PSW to TIER 1 at that point.

Your thoughts will be much appreciated, thank you.

If HR don't know what to do then I will assume your employer is not on the approved sponsor list Here (Click).

If they are not a sponsor, the company will need to apply for a sponsor license and then follow the steps from there.

Can you please let me know if there will be any problem Switching from Tier 1 General to Tier 2 Work Permit?

I am on Tier 1 General for nearly 5 years but with the recent rule changes I am unable to apply for ILR so I would like to switch to Tier 2 Work Permit. Can anyone please let me know if there will be any issues with this switch and what are the possible questions that may be asked at Home Office. Thank you
