Further Nationality Enquiries Responded to my email

Post by Batasha » Tue Jun 09, 2015 2:07 pm

Sent "Further Nationality Enquiries" an email on the 18th May to inform them that I will be abroad and will not have access to my post in case if they requested further information and got a reply today that "According to our records your application has been concluded today on 9 June 2015. We will be dispatching a decision letter to you shortly to inform you of the outcome. I have noted your application to indicate you are currently abroad and unavailable".

I am really scared. I have seen in another posts that HO sometime mentioned in their emails if the application has been approved or not... I am not sure why they didn't say whether it has been approved or not and the other thing I don't understand that they put a note on my application to indicate that I am currently abroad and unavailable. Any idea why they put this note on my application

Not sure why are you sacred? I would be surprised if HO start telling applicants of the outcome via email. If i understood it correct, they have noted it that you are out of country and unavailable and might wait for you to return before decision is posted. I could be wrong!

Did you tell them when were you going to come back to UK?

My dad is not well so i had to leave the uk and i will be back after 2 weeks. Do i have to email him back telling him that i will be back after 2 weeks. If i read their email correctly, they said" we will be dispatching your decision letter shortly, so i don't think they will hold on sending the letter.

Update.

I have been informed by email that my application has been approved but I didn't receive the approval letter or the ceremony invitation letter.
HO told me in their email dated on 9th June that they will be dispatching a decision letter. But so far I didn’t receive any letters. Do I need the approval letter or the ceremony invitation letter to book for the ceremony???

I am worried that both letters getting lost in the post..

You will need to take the invitation letter with you to the ceremony.

You may find the council have booked you into an available day/time for the ceremony
- you don't always have to book a ceremony unless you wanted to reschedule or have a private ceremony.

The local council will have a naturalisation helpline so you can enquire with them about your letter.

As a couple of weeks have passed and you haven't received anything in the post, I'd suggest that you try calling your local council, to see whether they have your naturalisation certificate and thereby have you on their list to be invited for your ceremony. It's true that you would need the invitation letter to attend the ceremony, but by calling the council you may be able to find out what's happened so far.
