Is this for citizenship?vin100 wrote:Hi all ,
Sorry if this post is a duplicate , as in the moment when I was posting , the disappeared .
I have a question regarding the English requirement .
In short , I got ILR one year ago ,and I was in Tier 1 Visa before that .
In 2012 , I passed an English test at Centre of Excellence , CELT , with C1 grade which was Home Office approved at that time . Recently , however , when checking the transitional list ,
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _tests.pdf , it seems to me that that centre test is no longer in the list .
Do I , therefore ,need to retake an English test from a recent approved centre ?
Many thanks for your help .
NoteYou can also prove your knowledge of English by having:
an ESOL qualification at Entry 3 or higher (eg Level 1 or 2) on the Ofqual register taken in England, Wales or Northern Ireland - qualifications at Entry 1 or 2 won’t be accepted
From November 2015, you won’t be able to use ESOL qualifications as proof for settlement and citizenship applications.
Yes, unfortunately if the qualification is not on the SELT transitional list & not on the Ofqual website either then it will not be accepted.vin100 wrote:Hi everyone and noajthan ,
Doe it mean I need to definitely retake the English test ?
Many thanks
Unfortunately for settlement (ILR), HO uses the SELT list within Appendix O of the rules.gojira wrote:Hi
I also took exam from College of Excellence. Have you booked your new exam yet?
Is it going to be problem when we apply for ILR because our old certificate is no longer accepted?
Thanks
