Hi All,
I have been a silent reader and I have been trying to read on anyone who is going through the same situation as me and my family. I would highly appreciate if anyone can advise me on what to do for the following. Me, my mum and brother have all applied using my solicitor who has helped us gain ILR on the basis of 10 years long residence in June 2014. This year come 1st of July 2015 we applied through my solicitor for Naturalisation. We sent 3 separate applications (3 separate envelopes in one big envelope (package), so they should all be with one case worker. However, on the 7th of July, 6 days later money went out of my debit card for only 1 applicant for the sum of £1005, and as for the rest of the remaining 1005 for the other two applicants wasn't taken out and is still not been taken out till this day.
My solicitor has wrote to the North West Nationality Team numerous times and they haven't gave a reply yet. So, on Thursday the 30th of July I decided to give the home office a call myself and explained the situation in detail. At first the helpful lady thought it was an ordinary issue but when she found out that they didn't even take money for the other two applicants even though they were all sent in one big envelope, she questioned and told me they should have done it by one caseworker and took the money and gave you biometrics all within 3 weeks. So she proceeded to take all our names and date of birth down and told me someone will call me before Tuesday the 4th of August to take out the remaining money through the phone. Now it has been past this time and i called again today and someone said he has raised the issue again and they should call you soon, but give it 5 working days.
I have thought numerous times of what is taking them so long to issue biometrics, if there was a problem or a mistake they would have surely told me by now or am I wrong to say this? All I know is that they should take money regardless of whether an application has mistakes or not, its part of the process. I just have a feeling that they misplaced documents or something and im that that's the case because they are not responding to any letters on the matter.
I would highly appreciate it if someone professional or experienced on this subject to give me advice on what to do next to speed things up as I am running out of ideas. Thank you.
