Hi can any one tell me please my wife is on her second visa so coming up to 4 years when she came in you had be be here for two years before you could apply for ILR but missed the two year deadline does she have to wait the full four years to apply for ILR as we want to get this in before the rules change in October 28

What rule changes are you referring to?

If you wife got her visa before 9th July 2012, she could have applied at any point after she had been here for 2 years.

What do you mean you missed the 2 year deadline? Did she apply for an extension on FLR(M)?

Hi thank you for this info the so called experts said we couldn't apply un till 28 days before second one runs out my wife came on a spouse on 14 jan 2012 her visa date was 04/08/11 and ended on 04/11/13 so we had to apply for a second spouse visa the reason my wife couldn't come was we was waiting for my sons british passport to come

She could have applied for ILR in January 2014 already, 2 years after she entered the UK.

I was told life in uk test will change in October but I think it's only how you apply for the test we were thinking of moving to spain because fees and advice cost so much but not sure about rules over there can my wife travel with me under my passport

I think the changes you are referring have already happened in October 2013.

Your spouse will need LIUK and English level B1 to apply for ILR. English was NOT required before October 2013 but has to be included now.

I am told home office will not take after November 5 life in uk pass cert from some collages

Life in UK test has never been conducted by a college!

From November 2015, you won’t be able to use ESOL qualifications as proof for settlement and citizenship applications.

Hi my wife and stepdaughter have both passed there life in the uk test and are ready to apply for there ILR spoke to immergation solicitor who is still saying we have to wait until 28 days before visa runs out to apply I told her it will be 4 years this December we don't want to apply and lose our money I'm not sure. What to do next

Concur with CR001. They may apply for SET(M) (subject to A280(c), 288) now.
