Inviting my Peruvian girlfriend across to UK on visitor visa

Hi, apologies if this has been covered before.

I want to invite my Peruvian girlfriend across on a 6 month visitor visa.

I rent a 2 bed council house, so can offer her a place to stay but im now on disability benefits due to mental illness(DLA and ESA support group) and not sure how that would impact things. Im confident i could support myself and her using my money. I have little savings and so does she, would it be a case of presenting my benefit award letters along with my letter of invitation for Visitor visa or is it more complex than that?

Your girlfriend has to qualify for a visa and will have to provide quite a bit of documentary proof that she has ties to Peru and intends to leave the UK. She needs to show evidence of funds to support her during her visit (savings), bank statements showing proof of income with matching payslips, property ownership documents, family ties, etc. If she is in employment, a letter from her employer indicating she has been given extended annual holiday etc and the relevant dates. If she is unemployed, she might have a problem.

She has to provide whatever she can to convince the entry clearance officer that she is a 'genuine visitor' and is not planning on 'living' in the UK.

Might be very difficult to prove if she is planning to visit for 6 months.
