Restricted COS application from two employers - clash?

I hold offers from two employers with positions in different SOC codes. One employer will apply for Restricted COS@37 for me in September 2015 and the other in October@40. Ideally I would like to take the second offer, but will the second application be rejected if my first Restricted COS is successfully allocated?

Plus given the current situation I don't think it is wise to decline either of the offers atm...

You cannot have two CoS assigned to your name at any given point of time. If you don't want to go ahead with the first CoS, you need to ask your first sponsor to cancel the CoS assigned to your name. Only then the second employer assign the CoS to you.

Thanks! What if I am a visa holder with the first employer? Do I still need to resign first before I get a COS from the second company?

If you already have a visa from the first sponsor, the CoS is technically "used". Hence, there is no conflict and the second or new sponsor can "assign" you a CoS.

Hi Gurus, I am a Tier 2 (general) visa holder and received an offer from a different employer in a different sector with different SOC code. Once the RLMT is done and the COS is assigned, do I need to return to my home country to apply for a second Tier 2 visa or can I remain in the UK to apply for extension?

In addition, do I need to pay the healthcare surcharge again? (200 pounds per year)

You can apply within the UK.

Yes, you need to pay the health surcharge. If your new visa is for 3 years, it will be £600.
