Spouse visa issues - please help.

Post by kezcon1 » Sat Sep 05, 2015 10:30 am

My wife completed the IELTS A1 on 29th August (she speaks fluent English) the email from IELTS states the results will be released on 2nd September 2015, We have applied for the spouse visa last night 4th Sept the appointment for the biometrics and to hand in the supporting documents will be 29th September of course the certificate will be with us by then which is great. My concerns are, Ive heard all the supporting documents should be available from when I submitted the application so if I get the certificate it will say when the test was taken which is 29th august but it will also show the date the test was marked if the test is marked after the 4th September will this be refused as evidence? Please help :)

You 'heard' wrong. As long as you have a valid test when you submit the documents you will be fine. Where are you applying from?

My wife is filipina and shes working in Malta. She will hand in the documents on 29th September.
So I have this correct she has taken the test before I submitted the application and its ok to include the certificate even if its dated after I submitted the application?

She "passed" the test on 29-Aug before the date of application (04-Sep). When the results become available is immaterial!

Quick question about IHS

Post by kezcon1 » Sun Sep 06, 2015 1:25 pm

Hi,
Ive been told IHS is £600 after submitting the application on Friday checked my bank statement it shows £626 I didn't realize at the time of submitting the application because it was in euros (applicant filipina working in Malta), don't worry its not the end of the world £26 after spending over 2k getting this visa done I was just wondering what is the extra for?
