Curtailment of leave as I am leaving UK

Hello Gurus,

I am on tier 2 general visa and I have decided to resign from the job and will leave the country to move somewhere else. Do I need to contact UKBA and tell them I am leaving UK? I read on the internet that my current company will tell UKBA that I am no longer with them and this will automatically trigger a curtailment of leave notice? IS this correct process? Or is it right to just packup and leave and not worry?

You don't need to do anything. Your employer will indeed notify HO and trigger the curtailment process.

You can leave whenever you wish to, nothing else you need to do in regards HO.
