RLMT confusion

Post by downtoearth » Sat Sep 12, 2015 10:10 pm

Hi Guys, I have got a job offer from a company yesterday and it comes under 'Biological scientist 2112' Phd level category. The company is applying for sponsorship license. They have taken the help of a scientific recruitment agency for head hunting and job was advertised on agency's website and 2 other website which was Reed.co.uk and one other website for more than 30 days.
Does the above procedure satisfy the RLMT criteria ?
Thanks in advance !

I stand corrected, and perhaps Manci could confirm, but I understood that for RLMT, jobs had to be advertised on Job Centre Plus as well as other websites.

See page 88 in link below

for PhD level jobs Job Centre Plus advertising is not mandatory, see pages 81 -83 in Appendix A of the Immigration Rules where it is also explained which two media are acceptable:

Hi Manci, thanks for your guidance. I looked through the details and it says atleast 2 media. My confusion is, does it have to be same or different media. My job was advertised for 28 days on Paramount recruitement website, which is a prominent head-hunter in field of scientific recruitement and they also advertised job on reed.co.uk, which is another renowned recruitement website. Do you think this looks ok for me to proceed ahead ?

according to the rules it has to be 2 media but it is not stated that they have to be in different categories. Check with the employer helpline 0300 123 4699 (they don't ask the name of the caller but when you call speak as though you were an employer).

Note that the websites have to be of prominent professional or recruitment organisations which don't charge a fee to jobseekers to view job advertisements or to apply for jobs via those advertisements.
