Clarification required

Post by Applicant4BC » Sun Sep 13, 2015 11:16 pm

Greetings Members!
I have gone through the sticky notes and would like some clarification regarding my scenario.

I am here since 2010, and have got ILR for more than a year now.

I am planning to apply for naturalisation (for myself and my daughter).

- Can I send both applications together?
- As the child was born abroad so I'll be applying under 3(1).
- As we'll be applying together do i still need to provide (Parent's passport showing ILR / BRP. (photocopies of all pages are accepted).
- If I need to provide the passport photocopies, do I need to provide for both parents?
- My Husband has got his application in progress, will the decision of his application in any way effect ours?

Total documents I would be sending
For Myself
- Original Life in UK
- Already proven English for my ILR
- Original Passport and BRP

For child
- Original full UK birth certificate for the child (with the ILR parent named on it).
- Original child passport and BRP for ILR
- Parent's passport showing ILR / BRP. (photocopies of all pages are accepted)

I would appreciated if members could help me with this.

Regards,

- Can I send both applications together?
Yes but make sure the forms and documents for each are separate, although childs application will only be decided once yours/husbands is approved.

- As the child was born abroad so I'll be applying under 3(1).
Correct

- As we'll be applying together do i still need to provide (Parent's passport showing ILR / BRP. (photocopies of all pages are accepted).
Yes, they are two separate forms and two separate applications.

- If I need to provide the passport photocopies, do I need to provide for both parents?
Just one parent should be fine.

- My Husband has got his application in progress, will the decision of his application in any way effect ours?
No it won't, as long as you meet all the standard requirements, including exactly 5 years residence.
Why don't you apply through NCS? They will photocopy your originals and give them back to you.
